Depends on if you need custom spec from Apple or retail models and how you value the free Apple GC -- not as good of a deal for expensive Macs since those come on sale with similar discounts (great deal for cheaper MBA)

That may well be your personal opinion, but I am specifically talking about the brand new M4 iPad Pros w/ OLED display. To date, the best deal on this iPad has been $944 at Amazon or $899 at Apple Edu pricing (which anyone in the US can take advantage as they don't verify status at all online). This deal nets the purchaser an additional $100 Apple Gift Card on top. So if you were buying this model anyhow, now is the time to do so.
So with that being said, YES, this is a slick deal if you are looking for one of these recently released OLED iPads. If you are not, then absolutely there are bigger savings available on one and two year models for sure. Apple and oranges here. It's like telling someone the minivan they just bought (for their own reasons, maybe got a big family lol) is a terrible deal because they can get a used convertible for less lol. Regardless of pricing, I never want a 13" iPad myself so your rationale doesn't apply. Read the post before commenting.

Education Store provides discount on regular products and for the higher education discount they're offering $150 gift card with Mac and $100 gift card with iPad and 20% off on Apple Care +.
No proof of enrollment is asked when ordering online.
I'll update the post with more info in a little bit. Typing on mobile.
Is this deal for higher education only? What about low education?
Did you click the link?
Save on Mac, iPad, and more with special pricing.
Available to current and newly accepted college students and their parents, as well as faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels.
Anyone will tell you though, Apple does not check. Literally anyone can buy from the education store.
The 20% off AppleCare is from the regular price and not off the lower education prices.. Still good deal though just picked up a new M4 iPad Pro for the usual $100 off Edu pricing, free $100 Apple gift card and 2yr AppleCare+ for $119.00 (Usually $149 Normal price, $129 Edu Price). These plans are renewable at monthly rates once expired also. Surely a lot cheaper than going monthly ($7.49/mo * 24 = $179.76) if you can swing it and want the coverage. More use to me than the Apple Pencil at least.
