Very interesting. Didn't really like the remake so may have to give these a shot again. Wonder how they play on modern pc's.
i bought them a while back for the same price and was super happy w/ how they played on PC. really smooth and not like some other ports that feel clunky at times

Is this currently the best way to replay these? The Sands of Time is one of my favorite games of all time... Lots of nostalgia with that one. I would love to go back and play it again.

The Sands of Time remake isn't set to release until 2026. If you mean The Lost Crown, that was a whole other effort that really only shares the name Prince of Persia. I was all excited too until I saw a bit about the gameplay and then it was a great big "nope" on my part.
In any event, if I'm not mistaken, part of the deal with GOG is that they work with developers/publishers to make sure the game works with modern operating systems. If not, they have a pretty generous refund policy last time I checked--which admittedly was a while ago.
All great games. Warrior Within is easily my favorite, though.
Sands of Time had this great campy feel to it, but it was really short, buggy AF, and combat was very repetitive. I still occasionally laugh about the little monologue he has about going to the baths on the other side of the palace.
Warrior Within had vastly improved combat, but those freaking Dahaka chases can suck it and calling the map a map is stretching the definition of the word to the breaking point. Also seems like about 3/4 of the way through the game the developers just ran out ideas and/or time, and just slapped a few levels together that were literally nothing more than tunnels with bare walls.
Two Thrones was a bit better, even if they retconned a bit from Sands of Time. Just my personal preference, but I hated the whole sand monster disease or whatever mechanic where you have to keep killing enemies or you run out of health. The stealth takedown moves were a nice touch though.
The 2008 game was pretty meh all around. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't really good. It's like the very definition of average work. A solid C, maybe C+ level effort. It was fine technically, just uninspired in basically every other way. The high point was the Farrah joke at the very beginning.

Also wonder whether they've been ported and made available for the Amazon Luna streaming service.
P.s. Sand of Time is awesome. The other two were not enjoyable for me

You can not activate the game on steam but if you install it from gog you can then set it up to launch from steam.
