That said I don't know why you'd want to get this junk instead of the Tesla mobile connector...

The specs looks good but why would you say this is a junk? I m still newbie on this. Thanks for sharing any insights in advance!
First of all, as a general rule, read these resources regarding safety and recommended, tested portable EVSEs:
https://www.reddit.com/r/evchargi..._cha
Now for this particular case:
One red flag: not many reviews in the amazon page:
https://www.amazon.com/AVAPOW-Cha...ast_sto_d
Another red flag: some negative reviews in their other product https://www.amazon.com/AVAPOW-Cha...B0CCS9HDL
One more red flag: the product description says "SAFETY PROTECTION AND UL LISTED - Equipped with high-grade materials and provide several safety protections, and strictly pass UL Certificated. (sic)".... So which one is it? UL listed or UL certified? Or perhaps they just want to claim that they would pass these certifications but they haven't bothered to do that anyway, which is also not ideal...
Final red flag: Looking up here https://productiq.ulpro
I would say at this high price point you are better off choosing something from reddit evcharging's recommendations instead. https://www.reddit.com/r/evchargi...i/portable For Tesla / NACS, the tesla product is one of the best and also best priced. For the rest, people in the evcharging reddit even recommend getting a car manufacturer's OEM charger from eBay instead of any amazon product.
